Population Bio Context

Paper describes J shape or Exponential curve as the simplest one in population biology. (Garrett M et al., 2013)

Then it describes that it doesn’t apply in most natural settings and other curves like S shaped or logistic growth curve.

Personal Context: It is widely experienced (practically) in microbiology labs in UG & PG courses on Biotechnology, Microbiology programs.

However, even at that level many universities exclude the in-depth mathematical basis or equation form.
